AnyMind Group, an end-to-end commerce enablement company, together with Japan’s largest crowdfunding platform, CAMPFIRE, have jointly established Gadget Hack, an integrated offering that provides overseas gadget brands looking to enter the Japanese market with cross-border expansion consultants and technology from both companies.
Data from the U.S. International Trade Administration showed that online shopping spending in Japan has remained steady in 2023 compared to 2022, but still prevails at higher levels compared to 2019-2021. In addition, consumer electronics and gadgets sold in Japan through e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon and Rakuten, along with crowdfunding in Japan, continue to increase every year.
As part of the Gadget Hack offering, cross-border expansion consultants will be made available to overseas gadget brands looking to enter the Japanese market. These consultants can converse in English and Mandarin, and have expertise in the consumer electronics and gadgets sector in China and other markets. This expansion can also be done without the need to establish a business entity or acquire a license in Japan.
AnyMind Group will provide its various platforms including AnyX (e-commerce management), AnyShop (e-commerce enablement), AnyLogi (logistics management), AnyChat (customer engagement) AnyTag (influencer marketing), and more, to support gadget brands in the establishment and operation of sales channels, customer support, delivery management and marketing activities.
On the other hand, fundraising and test marketing can be conducted through CAMPFIRE’s crowdfunding platform, as well as through CAMPFIRE’s partnered companies such as electronics retailers. This will allow for effective and efficient promotion and the securing of offline sales channels.
AnyMind Group had previously supported Chinese consumer electronics brand, Meross, in their expansion into the Japanese market through e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo! Shopping. Apart from e-commerce management, Meross also tapped on the company’s platforms for influencer marketing, logistics management, and customer engagement.
